H.E.P. Motorsports took on Round 16 of the 2020 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series this past Wednesday in Salt Lake City, Utah. H.E.P. Motorsports’ Kyle Cunningham had a strong day of racing on his Suzuki RM-Z450 despite a foot injury that occurred last round. Teammates Ryan Breece and Adam Enticknap both continued to show speed but ultimately fell short of the main.
After suffering a foot injury that required stitches, Cunningham showed real tenacity on Wednesday. Kyle had a solid heat race running as high as tenth but fell short of a qualifying position. In the LCQ, Cunningham was off to a good start, rode aggressive, and climbed his way into a transfer position. Kyle continued his impressive performance into the main event with 18th place overall.
“Last night went well given the circumstances,” said Cunningham. “I was able to put it in the main again which was awesome but I definitely had to battle foot pain all day. I’m happy with the result and looking forward to finishing out this last round strong.”
“It was a great ride for Kyle in the second to last round as he advanced five positions throughout the main event,” said Team Manager, Dustin Pipes. “We found a better rear shock and it looked good out there. I’m looking forward to rounding out this series on high note.”
The 2020 Monster Energy AMA Supercross series looks to wrap up this Sunday at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah. Look for the H.E.P Motorsports riders to finish out the series strong.
