Max Anstie (#103) finishes 12th overall after a nasty crash in the previous round.
H.E.P. Motorsports headed to Buchanan, Michigan at the historic RedBud MX track for the 4th and 5th rounds of the 2020 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship Series held on Friday and again on Monday. This past Friday, H.E.P. Motorsports rider Max Anstie had a strong showing coming off a hard crash sustained in the last round that resulted in a hospital ride and potential broken jaw. Adam Enticknap continues to improve with his best day of qualifying so far this series.
Max Anstie (#103) has a strong moto #1 running as high as 2nd place.
Max Anstie (#103) – Less than a week since Max crashed hard that resulted into a trip to the hospital with a feared fractured jaw and potential concussion, we saw just how determined he is to race. Max had strong showings in both motos, with his best start coming in the first moto. He just missed the hole-shot coming around the first corner in 2nd place. Anstie found himself in podium position during the first moto but was unable to capitalize due to a few key mistakes that come with little recovery time after a hard crash. Max finished 12th overall going 11-13 in each moto.
“After being in the hospital just 6 days ago and not even sure if I would be able to race, “I’m happy to come away with a 12th overall finish.” said Max Anstie. “The focus is on recovery and getting ready for Monday. “
Adam Enticknap (#722) continues to improve in the 2020 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship Series.
Adam Enticknap (#722) continues to show signs of improvement with his best day of qualifying 4 rounds into the series with 23rd overall. He finished 31st overall going 32-30 in the 1st and 2nd moto.
“Qualifying 23rd was a huge improvement this weekend,” said Adam Enticknap. “Racing RedBud for the first time was awesome. The track was unique and different. There is a lot to improve on my racing, but I’m excited to be back for the 2nd round at Red Bud.”
“Quick turnaround going into round 4 and I feel that played a factor into our results,” said Dustin Pipes. “It was a miracle Max was even able to race coming off his crash last weekend, so we are going to take our 12th and run with it. Adam showed some speed in qualifying, but we are waiting to see it translate into the races.”
H.E.P. Motorsports prepares for the 5th round at RedBud MX in Buchanan Michigan. Expect to see improvements from Enticknap and another strong performance from Anstie.
