H.E.P. Motorsports had a strong performance this past Saturday night at the second Triple Crown of the Supercross series. Ryan Breece had a formidable performance with a career best 11th place. He went 18-15-11 for 14th overall. Kyle Cunningham raced relentlessly throughout the night, winning the LCQ. His best result came in the final main with a 15th place. Kyle went 17-19-15 for 18th overall. Adam Enticknap continues to show signs of speed and improvement despite coming up short in Arlington. Max Anstie is still out on injury and continues to heal up.
Ryan Breece (#71) has a strong showing in the final main with 11th place.
Ryan Breece had his best performance of the season. Despite missing the initial top-18, Breece raced his way into the Triple Crown through the last chance qualifier. He continued to show his ability off the starting line with good starts throughout the night and displayed his best result in the final main with a career best 11th place. Breece went 18-15-11 for 14th place overall.
“I was stoked on getting the jump off the gate on my Suzuki RM-Z450,” said Breece. “Getting in the mix and completing my best finish this season made it a great night. Progress was made and I’m ready to continue these results.”
Kyle Cunningham (#44) wins the LCQ and goes 17-19-15 for 18th overall.
Kyle Cunningham was determined to get the job done Saturday night. Although he came up short in qualifiers, Cunningham got out to a strong start in the LCQ putting himself in a transfer position in the first lap. As the race progressed, he was able to move his way into first place, winning the LCQ. He went 17-19-15 for 18th overall. Despite going down and nearly breaking his hand in the second main, Cunningham continued to race. He went on to get his best result of the night with 15th place in the final Main Event.
“Arlington was a tough one,” said Cunningham. “I was really close to qualifying and felt good on the bike but the results weren’t the greatest. Struggles with my starts in all three mains and was having to come from the back into the pack. Unfortunately, in the second main while moving forward, I got cleaned out. It mangled the bike to where it was un-ridable and hurt my hand pretty bad. I was on the fence for the final main but I got out there and fought through it the best I could. Luckily nothing was broken and I’m looking forward to Atlanta.”
Adam Enticknap had a tough night in Texas. The fan favorite, aka “The Seven-Deuce-Deuce” was looking good all day despite coming up short of the top-18 by a few positions. In the LCQ, Adam got out to a strong start and was well inside the top-ten. Enticknap was able to move up into striking distance of a transfer position but unfortunately came together with another rider, running him into a haybale. Enticknap missed the main event finishing in 15th place.
“My speed and my riding have been getting better and better each week,” said Enticknap. “I missed qualifying straight out of live timing by only a few positions. I had a great start in the LCQ and a small mistake took me out of contention. Ready to fight in Atlanta!”
“Definite positives to take away from the weekend,” said Dustin Pipes, Team Manager. “All three racers showed us they have what it takes to keep progressing throughout the season. An unfortunate run in between Kyle and Ryan in the Main Event two added some tension to the night. But Kyle fought hard in the final main event to salvage the night. X-Rays on his hand came back negative and he will be ready for Atlanta with some rest and recovery. The highlight of the night was Ryan coming away with a career best 11th place in the final Main Event. He rode and inspiring race and seems to be gelling with the bike the more he rides it.”
The 2020 Monster Energy AMA Supercross series makes its way to Atlanta, Georgia for round nine. The team looks to have all three racers back in the Main Event and expect to see the strong performances of Breece and Cunningham continue.
