Team Twisted Tea/H.E.P. Suzuki presented by Progressive Insurance took on the 7th round of the 2022 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship series. The 7th round of the outdoor nationals took place at the Spring Creek MX Park in Millville, MN. The fans packed the hillsides and fence lines. The track conditions were great. Brandon Hartranft led the way for the team with 11th overall. Marshal Weltin was not too far behind him with 16th overall.
Brandon Hartranft #41: Consistent day on the RM-Z450 Suzuki for the 23-year-old. Despite struggling off the gate, Hartranft fought through the pack both motos and finished 13th place moto one and moto two. Brandon finished 11th overall.
“Pretty good Rd 7 for me,” said Brandon Hartranft. “I felt much better all day long. I like that track a lot, the sand, and the jumps. That track is a lot of fun, you can scrub jumps and the rollers are fun. Qualifying went well. I didn’t have the best start moto one and got up to 13th place. I had another bad start moto two, but I fought hard and ended up 13th again for 11th overall. I really want to be top ten. I am going to keep trying. Lots of positives from this weekend.”
Marshal Weltin #285: Solid day at Southwick. Despite not having good starts, Marshal pushed forward both motos. Weltin finished 14-15 for 16th overall.
“Really enjoyed the track,” said Marshall Weltin. “Really enjoyed the track all day. the martin family do a good job with track prep and making sure the conditions are on point. I had some good battles today. I ended up 14-15 on the day for 16th overall. I’m definitely searching for a few more positions. Happy to come away healthy and feeling good coming into next weekend.”
“Springcreek did not disappoint,” said team Manager Dustin Pipes. “The mechanics did a good job making sure the riders were dialed in all day. Brandon and Marshall rode well. Hartranft finished 11th overall going 13-13 in two motos. Weltin finished 16th overall going 14-15 in two motos. Expect to see these two push for better starts and stronger results in the final five rounds.”
Team Twisted Tea/H.E.P. Motorsports presented by Progressive Insurance, heads to the Pacific Northwest for the annual Washougal MX National. Practice and qualifying start at 10:00AM PST and racing is set to start at 1:00PM PST.
