The under $3000 USD MSRP makes the Honda XR150L attractive, but the Honda reliability makes the XR150 even more attractive.

Yoshimura has been working with Honda for decades, we couldn't leave this awesome little small bore commuter/beginner bike alone. The air cooled 149cc 5 speed was ready for some more power and torque so we rolled up our sleeves and got to it.

After choosing our RS-2 slip-on for the task our development team was able to squeeze much more performance from the XR. The RS-2 jettisoned 2 pounds from the stock unit and it also provided the XR an increase of +5% max HP and 1.7% max torque. Now the XR has gains across the entire power spectrum and is ready to tackle trails and highways alike.

This RS-2 Enduro Series Slip-on includes an installed USFS spark arrestor SA-02-K.

Yoshimura's RS-2 is proudly designed, developed and manufactured in Chino, California.

    Absolutely worth the $$$$

Was a bit concerned at first about the price for this exhaust. But After installing it today all I can say is Supremo job Yoshimura with this exhaust! Super easy install under 20 minutes, great quality, and now my XR sounds amazing!

Simple to install, great sound, worth the cost

Like many people when I saw the $500 price tag of an exhaust for a bike that only costs ~$3,500, I thought no way. I did what many others did by cutting the stock spark arrestor to get a louder sound from the stock exhaust. To be honest, it sounds terrible. The stock exhaust is just a crappy echo chamber at that point and has no depth behind it (in regards to the sound). It wasn't until I came across a little extra cash I thought why not and got the yoshi. Man, why did I ever wait.

The Yoshi looks better, sounds better, and performs better. Now I know they put out those charts of % gain in torque and horsepower but I wasn't expecting any actual performance change, since the HP and torque on the bike are so low to begin with. However, on my normal route home, I normally have a stretch where I open the bike up and top out around 55 mph. With the Yoshi I've been hitting 60 mph on the same stretch consistently, and that's without increasing to a 115 main jet, which I think will do even better. Of course, the sound, it sounds like an actual motorcycle now and a good-sounding one at that. I've never had a Yoshi on a bike before but I guess these guys know what they're doing.

In the end it's still $500 for a cheap bike. I can see why many wouldn't want to invest in it but if you like the bike, why not? Just because it was cheap and has a smaller engine doesn't mean you can't enjoy it and enjoy modding it.
