The 2021 Lucas Oil A.M.A. Pro Motocross series held the 10th round, the Ironman National this past Saturday in Crawfordsville, Indiana. Brandon Hartranft had a career day in the 450 class with two solid and consistent races finishing 9th overall. Unfortunately, Max Anstie missed the race due to Covid-19 protocol.
Brandon Hartranft (#28) goes 9-9 for 9th overall in the 450cc premiere class.
Brandon Hartranft (#28) – It was a milestone day and a step in the right direction for the 450-class rookie. Brandon has been improving all outdoors, and so have his results. Hartranft got a great start in the first moto and ran as high as 6th before ultimately finishing 9th place. He carried that momentum into the next race, getting a decent start, climbing his way into 10th before finishing in 9th place for a career-best 450-class finish in 9th overall.
"Good day at round 10 of the outdoor nationals ended up finishing 9th," said Brandon Hartranft. "I really like this track; I was about in about 9th and 10th all day. I got a good start the first moto and ran up front for a bit. I felt good in moto 2. I fought hard for 9th almost got to 8th the last lap. I'm going to take the positives and be ready next weekend!"
"Step in the right direction for Brandon at Ironman this weekend," said team manager Dustin Pipes. "He was consistent all day, finishing 9th in qualifying as well as both motos for 9th overall. I felt he could have raced within the 6-7 range, but today was still positive. With Max unexpectedly missing the race due to covid, Brandon handled the pressure well, flying the lone flag for the team. The staff worked all day cohesively, and everything is moving towards a strong finish to the year. My thoughts are with Max going forward as he looks to get over his illness."
The 2021 Lucas Oil A.M.A. Pro Motocross Series enters its final stretch of the series with the two remaining California rounds; Pala Raceway and the Hangtown National.
